How to use these loops in FL Studio

   Unzip the download

   Loops arrive as a ZIP. Extract it to a folder you keep samples in, for example Documents/Image-Line/FL Studio/Samples.

   Add the folder to the Browser

   In FL Studio, open Options > File settings and point one of the browser extra search folders at your samples folder. The loops then appear in the Browser for fast drag-and-drop.

   Drag the loop into the Playlist

   Drop the audio file onto a Playlist track to place it as an audio clip, or drop it into the Channel Rack to load it into a Sampler channel where you can slice and pitch it.

   Match tempo and key

   Set your project BPM to the loop's labelled BPM for a clean fit. To use a different tempo, open the Sampler channel, switch the Time stretching mode to a pitched setting and enter the target tempo.

   Pitch it to your song

   Use the pitch knob in the Sampler channel, or Edison's transpose, to move the loop into the key you are writing in. Loops here are labelled with their key so the maths stays simple.

   Chop and flip it

   Right-click a Sampler channel and choose the slicing tools, or drop the loop into Slicex, to cut it into playable pieces and rearrange it into something of your own.

Loops download as ZIP archives containing audio files. Unzip the archive first, then drag the audio files into FL Studio.

Do the loops work in DAWs other than FL Studio?

Yes. They are plain audio files, so they load in Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Studio One, Reaper or any DAW that accepts audio.

How do I match a loop to my project tempo?

Each loop is labelled with its original BPM and key. Set your project to that BPM, or use FL Studio's stretching modes in the Sampler channel to conform the loop to your tempo.
